Loveland City School District will soon begin the search for a new assistant superintendent, as Andrea Conner, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, announced her resignation. Mrs. Conner will be leaving at the end of this school year, to join Batavia Local Schools.

“I’m so excited to be returning to Batavia High School, this time as principal. I taught high school English for 22 years, 12 of those were at Batavia High School. I’m excited to return to a building leadership role as I’ve been missing the daily interactions with students,” Conner said. 

Conner joined Loveland City School District in 2017, and most recently as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, overseeing curriculum and programming across the district. 

“While we will certainly miss Andrea’s professionalism, knowledge, and commitment to our students here at Loveland, we are excited for Andrea as she moves on to the next chapter of her extremely successful career. Andrea has consistently stated she misses the day-to-day interaction with students and her new position will afford her the opportunity to work with students on a daily basis. Andrea has been a vital part of this district and gets much of the credit for our expanded business program offerings and growing career exploration opportunities for kids. We appreciate her hard work on behalf of our students. I wish Andrea nothing but the best, and Batavia is getting an amazing educator to lead their high school into the future,” said Superintendent Mike Broadwater.

The search will begin immediately to find a new Assistant Superintendent, to prepare for the new school year in the fall. 

“We will begin the search for the next innovative educational leader, and because Loveland is a destination school district, I’m sure we’ll have a great pool of candidates to choose from,” Broadwater said.
