Loveland City School District has partnered with Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH) for a student vaccine clinic. HCPH will set up an outdoor clinic on-site, allowing students 12 and older an opportunity to receive the first dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine during the school day. The clinics will take place at Loveland Middle School on Thursday, September 2, 2021, and at Loveland High School on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Students will only receive a vaccination if they present a signed Vaccine Screening Consent Form, which you can access through the following links. The form must be printed and returned as a hard copy on the day of the clinic. If you don’t have access to a printer, have your student stop into the LMS or LHS office for a printed copy.
Parents are NOT required or expected to attend, as this will be taking place during school hours. While the COVID-19 vaccine is now widely available, we wanted to take this step to make it easier for our families to take this important step in protecting everyone’s health. We will work to minimize the disruption to the student’s school day and our school health staff will be on hand to support students.
There will be no cost, and no insurance information will be needed. The follow-up clinics for the second dose are scheduled for three weeks later on Thursday, September 23, and Friday, September 24. Students are not considered “fully vaccinated” and exempt from quarantine until 2 weeks after receiving the second vaccine dose.
