District Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
What happened at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, weighs heavy on the hearts of families and educators across the country today. There is no greater responsibility we have than to ensure the safety of the students in our care, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Relationships are at the heart of what we do in education. The connections formed between our staff members, students, and families are vital and form a safety net that can catch those at risk before tragedy happens. Those relationships let everyone know that they can reach out during times of distress so that we can respond together to any threat and prevent potential violence.
We are fortunate to have a strong partnership with our Loveland police department and school resource officers. Every incident of school violence causes us to reflect and reexamine our safety procedures. We will end the year with extra vigilance and spend time over the summer reviewing our safety plans.
I would ask you to reinforce at home the message that we share with students at school - that any time they have safety concerns, they can speak to any staff member.
If you or your family need support or have specific concerns, please reach out to me or your building principal.
