Loveland to host FIRST LEGO League District Tournament and Jr. Expo Saturday, January 4

FIRST LEGO League is an international competition for elementary and middle school students with more than 300,000 participants and nearly 40,000 teams across the world. Loveland Robotics will be hosting the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Jr. Expo on Saturday, January 4 at Loveland Intermediate School. Five local teams will show off what they have learned during their season. The Expo begins at 9:15 am in the media center. Awards will take place in the media center at 11:30 a.m., and teams will be recognized during the opening ceremony of the FLL tournament at 12:00 p.m.
Loveland Robotics will also be hosting the FIRST LEGO League District Tournament at Loveland Intermediate School on Saturday. Twenty-eight teams from Greater Cincinnati will compete in this second-level tournament for the chance to advance to the Ohio FLL State Championship Tournament in February. Both tournaments are free and open to the public. The opening ceremony is at 12:00 p.m. with competition matches starting at 1:15 p.m. The closing ceremonies, awards and parade of teams are expected to begin at 4 p.m.
