With the quick turn of events overnight, the Ohio polls were ordered closed today as a health emergency by the Director of the Ohio Department of Health, Dr. Amy Acton. According to Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s website, the secretary will seek a remedy through the courts to extend voting options so that every voter in Ohio who wants to vote will be granted the opportunity to do so. The website also states that in-person voting will take place on June 2nd.
For all of you who had planned to visit the polls today, the easiest way to ensure that your voice is heard in this election is to apply for an absentee ballot and submit it by mail.
The situation is rather unclear at the moment and likely will continue to be so for some time. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to navigate through quick changes and updates. We encourage you to visit the COVID-19 Response page
on our website for information related to continued services for our students.
