We would like to acknowledge all questions and concerns that have been shared with us as we continue to build a comprehensive plan. We appreciate your patience as we adjust and adapt to this dynamic and unprecedented situation. We will continue our ongoing communication.
Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20
The first five days of the closure will be treated like inservice days. Students will not report and no instruction will be provided.
Staff will report.
Monday, March 23 - Friday, March 27
Spring Break will be observed.
Staff will follow their contract.
Monday, March 30 - Friday, April 3
Students will be expected to begin participating in Remote Learning on Monday, March 30.
Staff will report or work from home as assigned by their administrator.
At this time, students will return to a regular school schedule on Monday, April 6 until we are notified otherwise.
We will continue to update you on our plans for the delivery of Remote Learning. We recognize that remote lessons cannot fully replace face-to-face classroom instruction with a highly qualified teacher. Our Remote Learning plan is a substitute for the instruction students would be getting in school and therefore participation in the learning activities is expected.
Access to the schools will be limited during the closure, so students need to bring all materials and technology home with them or make arrangements to pick those things up over the coming week.
I understand that you have many questions. Please direct those questions to your building principals or counselors and we will continue to provide regular updates through the upcoming days.
Dr. Amy Crouse, Superintendent
