Loveland Elementary School (LES) students honored veterans by celebrating Veterans Day in class Friday, Nov. 8. Students from Mrs. Robertson, Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Craig and Mr. Price's fourth-grade classes performed for their peers the story America's White Table. The story tells of a little girl and her family’s traditional Veterans Day celebration. A table is set with items that represent the soldiers who will not be with their families for dinner.
“This is an emotional and powerful story that shows students just how important our soldiers are to our freedom,” said Susan Craig, LES teacher. “It's such a great lesson for the children to be able to see a visual reminder of the sacrifices that our troops, as well as their families make for all of us.”
