The Loveland City School District congratulates Loveland High School (LHS) Junior Zakary Kadish and LHS Junior Michael McManus for being selected to participate in the American Legion Buckeye Boys State – an intensive, eight-day education program on Ohio government for high school students.
“It is an honor for Loveland High School to have these two young men selected to represent our district at this prestigious event,” said LHS Principal Chris Kloesz. “We could not be more proud or excited for all these two students will learn during the course of this experience.”
At American Legion Buckeye Boys State, participants are exposed to the rights, privileges, duties and responsibilities of a franchised citizen. The training is objective and practical with a city, county and state government operated by the students elected to the various offices. Activities include legislative sessions, court proceedings, law enforcement presentation, assemblies, a band and recreation.
American Legion Post 256 selected both Kadish and McManus for the event which will be held June 8-15, 2014, on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
