A message from Mr. Hilliker regarding the safety concern
Posted Thursday, November 14, 2013
On Thursday, Nov. 14, after an extensive search of both Loveland Middle School (LMS) and Loveland Intermediate School (LIS) with specially trained K-9 units, the Loveland City Police Department indicated both buildings are safe for students to enter.
The Thursday evacuation occurred around 7 a.m. after a district administrator received an email indicating a bomb threat for LMS. The decision was immediately made to transport all LMS and LIS students to Loveland Elementary School and Loveland Primary School, and to evacuate staff, to ensure the safety of all.
All other buildings operated as usual.
We want all of our Tiger Family to rest assured that safety for all is at the forefront of each decision made by the administration. We appreciate your continued patience with us as we work to communicate with you in a timely and accurate manner.
We thank the Loveland City Police Department for the swift and thorough action they took in this situation. They will handle the complete investigation.
Please take time to watch this message from Superintendent Chad Hilliker about the return to class Friday, Nov. 15...
