Loveland School Board passes initial resolution to place levy on the May ballot
Posted Thursday, January 16, 2014
In a special meeting held Tuesday, Jan. 14, the Loveland City School District Board of Education unanimously voted to pass a resolution declaring the necessity of an operating levy in the amount of 5.6 mills (the equivalent of $196.00 annually per $100,000 home valuation).
The Board must confirm the first vote with a second vote before the resolution is official; that second vote is scheduled to take place at the Business Meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, in the Loveland Middle School/Loveland Intermediate School Media Center. The district will learn from the Hamilton County Auditor the revenue this will generate prior to the next business meeting, and have that information to share.
