Loveland students present award-winning poetry

It was standing room only for the 2014 City of Loveland Valentine’s Event Friday, Feb. 14, at the Oasis Conference Center, where five Loveland students enjoyed a captive audience as they presented their winning poems in the annual poetry contest.
“It is a privilege for our students to have the opportunity to be a part of this festive tradition,” said Loveland Superintendent Chad Hilliker. “It was a true honor to be a part of this event and a testament to the good that can come from the community and school working as partners in the education of our children.”
We congratulate Loveland Early Childhood Center Student Lana Carpenter, Loveland Primary School Student Aidan Partin, Loveland Elementary School Student Rachel Stansbury, Loveland Intermediate School Student Savannah Quinn, and Loveland Middle School Student Nick Johnson who each won their category.
After posing for a photograph with the winning students, Superintendent Hilliker surprised the Loveland Valentine Ladies with Tiger orange t-shirts, and thanked them for their service to the community.
