On May 3 – national School Lunch Hero Day ¬– students and staff across the Loveland City School District paid extra tribute to their cafeteria heroes. With flowers, capes and cards, they showed their appreciation for the lunch room staff members that not only prepare healthy meals, but also adhere to strict standards, navigate student food allergies, and offer service with a smile.
“School Lunch Hero Day is a fun occasion to recognize the difference our food services personnel make in the lives of all the children who come through our cafeterias,” said Kris Tracy, district food service director. “At Loveland, we have 22 food service heroes, and they serve not only lunch, but also breakfast! They are our heroes every day of the year.”
