Record number of Loveland athletes head to Track & Field Championships!

Dear Loveland Community,
We hope the end of the school year is wrapping up nicely for everyone.
We have exciting news to share with you as we approach the weekend and competition at the State Track and Field Meet.
Loveland High School (LHS) will be sending a record number of student-athletes to the Ohio High School Athletic Associations State Track & Field Championships this Friday and Saturday (June 6 and 7). Below is a list of how they fared last week at the regional competition in Dayton in order to qualify for the state meet. Top four in each event heads to Columbus:
Taylor Florence (Senior) - Pole Vault - 4th place - 14' 8"
Giovanni Ricci (Senior) - High Jump - 4th place - 6' 4"
Giovanni Ricci (Senior) - 110 High Hurdles - 1st place - 14.66
4 x 200 relay - 3rd place - 1:28.87 - Carsen Davenport (Senior), Vaughn Richter (Sophomore),
Jordan Davis (Senior), Zion Wynn (Sophomore), [Nate Slagel (Senior) alternate]
Zion Wynn (Sophomore) - 400 m dash - 3rd place - 48.72
Note: The 4 x 100 m relay of Davenport, Ricci, Davis and Slagel narrowly missed finishing 5th with a time of 42.49. Nate Slagel also finished 8th in the 100 m dash finals.
Loveland Boys Team finished fourth in the region behind Northwest, Mason and Centerville. This is the highest the team has ever placed in the regional meet.
We are so proud of our Boys Track Team, coaches and all these student-athletes. Please help us cheer them on and send good thoughts their way as they compete in the 2015 State Track and Field Championships on the campus of Ohio State University at Jesse Owens Stadium.
