Physical Education classes got competitive for a good cause Friday, March 27, as Loveland Intermediate School (LIS) students scored big fundraising for the American Heart Association’s Hoops for Heart Program. Students raised $3,755.78 to donate to the cause – bringing the lifetime total of LIS donations to the nonprofit $56,476.34.
“The amount we are able to donate is really a reflection of both student effort and outstanding community support,” said Garth Carlier, LIS principal. “We are thrilled to continue our relationship with this worthwhile organization.”
The American Heart Association works to build healthier lives free from heart disease and stroke.
