A meeting to remember

He loves sports and wants to be a professional sports announcer.
This year Loveland Middle School (LMS) eighth-grade student Cam Louder is already on his way – working the basketball season as the announcer for some of the LMS Tiger games. But his goal is to go pro, despite the fact that the talented student also manages cerebral palsy.
“He can do it,” said LMS Assistant Principal Jayson Bruce.
Bruce worked behind-the-scenes to show Louder his dream could become his reality – contacting ESPN and Fox Sports Announcer Jason Benetti to meet Cam in person. Benetti also has cerebral palsy.
“I thought it was a unique opportunity for Cam to see how another person with cerebral palsy made it to the pros – a real inspiration,” said Bruce.
The afternoon of Friday, Feb. 13, the meeting happened and WCPO TV was on site to capture the special moment. Click the link to watch the WCPO video: Ken Broo talks to an inspirational young athlete, Cam Louder.
