Loveland Music Boosters announce recipients of Maegly Music Scholarship

The Loveland Music Boosters congratulate Loveland High School (LHS) students David Guzior and Matt Truesdell for their outstanding musical talent and program participation, thereby earning each student the inaugural Maegly Music Scholarship.
Guzior, a sophomore at LHS, is a member of the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra and Encore (Loveland Show Choir Band). Truesdell, a junior at LHS, is a member of the Loveland Show Choir “By Request” and is enrolled in a guitar class offered by LHS to broaden his musical skills.
The Loveland Music Boosters established the Maegly Music Scholarship Award to honor Mr. Bruce Maegly by recognizing his 35-year contribution to developing the musical talents and enthusiasm of generations of Loveland students. The intent of the scholarship is to foster musical development in current students (grades 9-12), just like Mr. Maegly did while teaching, by awarding funds to offset skill-building expenses.
“This endowed scholarship begins and the legacy of Mr. Bruce Maegly continues with these first two winners,” said Traci Scarpa, Loveland Music Booster president. “The Boosters wish David and Matt every success as they continue to develop their musical skills and look forward to seeing the results of their hard work in the coming years.”
