It looked like Loveland Middle School (LMS) hit the lottery Friday, Sept. 19, because – well… they kind of did!
The Ohio Lottery recognized LMS as the Partners in Education 2013-2014 School of the Year. The students and staff were recognized for their achievement during a special pep rally in the school’s gymnasium.
Mascots from across the state, including the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds, entertained the more than 700 seventh and eighth grade Tigers. LMS received a School of the Year trophy, a $500 gift card to Office Max and team merchandise from several of the Lottery’s Partners in Education sponsors, including the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals.
Loveland Middle School was selected as School of the Year in a random drawing comprised of all Ohio schools participating in the Lottery’s Partners in Education program throughout the 2013-2014 school year. Participation means nominating outstanding K through 12 teachers and students for Teacher of the Month and Academic All Star awards, respectively, any month from September through May. Participation is open to every school in Ohio.
The Ohio Lottery’s Partners in Education program started in 2007 to recognize and reward outstanding teachers and students from all over Ohio.
