An anti-bully beat

At first glance, you might think you stumbled into a concert – music was pumping, students were on their feet and the man with the mic was delivering a message that was music to the ears of school administrators.
“We are talking about a nationally known youth motivational speaker – what a thrill it was to watch him perform,” said Chris Kloesz, Loveland High School principal. “Keenan West knew just how to reach our students. He has an open, honest approach to serious subjects – bullying/harassment prevention, making positive choices, adolescent self-esteem and creating a positive school climate. I think the take away was significant for our group.”
West presented at both LHS and Loveland Intermediate School during October as part of the district’s commitment to creating a culture of kindness.
“It’s subject matter we must tackle,” said Garth Carlier, LIS principal. “Keenan West presents it in a way that makes a sincere connection with our students. We feel fortunate that we were able to bring this presentation to LIS.”
