Fourth grade, meet LIS

Loveland Elementary School (LES) fourth-grade students got a chance to spend some time the week of May 6 at Loveland Intermediate School (LIS), as they prepare to make the transition this coming fall.
“This is the first time in the history of the district we have done this, and the debut has been a total success,” said Jennifer Forren, LES principal. “I’m proud of each student departing from LES, and I want to make sure we are setting them up for success as they advance to the next level in their academic career.”
Students spent time becoming familiar with the campus, and got to know LIS Principal Garth Carlier.
“Anything we can do to make the transition a smooth one, we will do,” said Carlier. “The graduation from elementary school into intermediate school is a big step, and hopefully this exposure will allow the students to take that leap forward with confidence.”
