VIDEO INCLUDED: We congratulate three Loveland High School (LHS) seniors named as semifinalists in the 59th National Merit Scholarship Program. Nuria Alonso, Erin Ellis and Anne Lehmann earned the title and the ability to compete for some 8,000 National Merit Scholarships worth about $35 million that will be offered next spring! We caught up with the students who LHS Principal Chris Kloesz calls, “Inspiring.” See how they reacted to the news!
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognized seven Loveland seniors as commended students for their academic achievement: Katherine Borger, Jennifer Hadley, Rita Maricocchi, Camille Mennen, Jacob C. Price, Perry Strong and Eli Taylor.
In addition to being named a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist, LHS Senior Nuria Alonso has also been selected as a 2013-2014 National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar.
