Loveland students help feed hundreds of Loveland families this Thanksgiving holiday

The Loveland City School District wants to thank all members of the Tiger Family who participated in the annual LIFE Food Pantry Pass-it-On food drive, helping our students – district-wide – collect 7,442 food items for donation. These donations will go directly to families in need who live in the Loveland City School District who register with the L.I.F.E. Food Pantry months prior to the event.
“This is well beyond what the pantry had requested,” said Lauren Aiello, the PTSA Chairperson for the Pass-it-On food drive at Loveland Middle School and Loveland Intermediate School. “Loveland’s incredible response will help us feed 220 families right in our own school district! I was dumbfounded when I tallied the results – we achieved 207 percent of what was needed for the Thanksgiving baskets!”
This was the 16th annual food drive sponsored by LIFE Food Pantry. The district wants to recognize LEPTA Pass-it-On Chairperson Stacy Fitzgibbon, and LIFE Food Pantry Coordinator for the Pass-it-On campaign Anne Parker for assisting in the coordination of the district’s participation. Participating Loveland school buildings included Loveland Early Childhood Center, Loveland Primary School, Loveland Elementary School, Loveland Intermediate School and Loveland Middle School. During the past 16 years Loveland students have donated a total of 40,000 of food items to this cause.
