Going to Beautiful Lengths

It was a true pep rally Friday, March 21, as Loveland Middle School (LMS) students filled the gymnasium to cheer on a special team participating in a unique campaign. Seven LMS students and two LMS teachers took center stage as salon professionals got to work, cutting their hair.
“One of our teachers, Rachel Silvey, brought this idea to us, and we were 100 percent on board – it was all a part of the Beautiful Lengths Campaign,” said LMS Assistant Principal Meghan Lawson. “The campaign is sponsored by Pantene and provides cancer patients the chance to receive free wigs. We were so proud of all our participants, we decided to gather the entire school for a rally to show support for the cause.”
Participants included: Rachel Silvey (LMS language arts teacher), Abby Beach (LMS math teacher), Denise Evers (student), Avery Lawrence (student), Amy Geiger (student), Jessica Edwards (student), Allysen Rosales (student), Brenna Luti (student) and Lillie Clepper (student).
