Tigers helping Tigers

Crock pots lined the staff table at Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC), as staff members turned chefs to compete in a chili cook-off this past February; it was a competition with a cause. The fifteen participants used the second-annual event as a fundraiser to donate money to Preschool Teacher Andi Alexander whose daughter was diagnosed with leukemia during the winter break.
“This fundraising event has become a tradition among our team,” explained Kyle Bush, LECC principal. “Last year we donated money to an LECC family in need; this year we raised $300 for a member of our own Tiger Staff. I think we were all grateful to have some way to help.”
Two winners were crowned chili champions: Preschool Aide DeAnn Gilmore and Preschool Aide Leah Jewell.
