Loveland Elementary School (LES) students stood in front of the Loveland Historical Museum, one of the stops made by the third-grade students on a recent walking tour of Loveland. You may recognize the tour guide, Mrs. Peggy French; she taught second grade in Loveland for more than 20 years!
“Peggy does an excellent job now captivating young students with tales of Loveland history,” said Cindy Rack, LES third-grade teacher. “Our students also visited City Hall, and they were able to see where local government officials meet to make decisions and pass laws, as well as meet many Loveland City workers including fire fighters and police officers.”
Groups had lunch at Nisbet Park and concluded the walk with a visit to the Loveland Dairy Whip for an ice cream!
“Our community is a great place to live." said Rack. “We have a rich, river city history which our third graders are learning to appreciate."
