On your mark, get set - GO!

From the front, you couldn’t see the end of the line.
That’s how many Loveland Elementary School (LES) students participated in the LES Runner’s Club Fun Run Tuesday, June 3. Around 100 participants took a spot ready to run through the brightly decorated starting arch that completed the tropical themed final run of the school year.
“The goal was to have fun with this project and enjoy the exercise,” said LES Teacher and Runner’s Club Organizer Andrew Price. “We played island music and each runner received Hawaiian leis as they crossed the finish line, which served as their medal for a job well done; we were all winners in this club.”
Kona Ice Company set up to serve the runners and donated 25 percent of sales from the event to Granny’s Garden.
“We raised just more than $100 for Granny's Garden through the sales of the snow cones,” said Price. “And added to the money that we earned through the sales of the official LES Runners Club t-shirts, we were able to donate more than $300 to Granny's Garden.
“It was a huge success, and I just want to thank all of the parents who allowed their children to participate. We will return next year!”
