LIS supports JDRF

Loveland Intermediate School (LIS) students joined forces to raise $651 for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Students presented the check to JDRF Thursday, May 29. The students were able to raise the money through a week long paper sneaker sale.
“I was extremely proud of our students taking the initiative to help this worthwhile cause,” said LIS Principal Garth Carlier. “Juvenile Diabetes impacts this age group, in fact, the students worked on this campaign because of a fellow classmate who has juvenile diabetes, so this was a way for our students to make a real difference in the lives of their peers.”
JDRF works to raise awareness and funds for research to prevent, treat, and cure type one diabetes.
