The Loveland City School District is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Amy Crouse to the senior administrative team; Dr. Crouse begins serving the district as the new assistant superintendent of teaching and learning this August, and comes to the district with 21 years of service to students – 17 of those as an administrator.
“This is a time of new possibilities and opportunities for our students to learn and grow academically, and we are confident in Dr. Crouse’s ability to not only continue the excellent programs Loveland offers to our 4,700 students, but to also build innovative avenues that will take all of our students on a path of increased learning,” said Loveland Superintendent Chad Hilliker. “We welcome her experience and the energy she brings to this role that is vital for the continued development of the district.”
Dr. Crouse earned her bachelor degree from Indiana University in elementary education in 1990, her master’s in education administration from the University of Cincinnati (UC) in 1997, and her doctorate of education from UC in 2012, where she served as an adjunct professor in educational leadership in 1998, 2000, and 2010-2014. She began serving students as a teacher in 1993 at schools in Illinois, then North Carolina, before taking an administrative role as an assistant principal for West Clermont Local Schools in Cincinnati (1997) and then principal for that same district (1999). She moved to the Princeton City School District to serve as curriculum coordinator (2004), director of curriculum and instruction (2008) and most recently served that district as associate superintendent (2012-present).
In addition, Dr. Crouse has been a featured conference presenter and contributing author to multiple publications.
“I am thrilled to join the Tiger family and continue the longstanding tradition of excellence in education,” said Dr. Crouse. “The Loveland community has gone out of its way to make me feel welcome.”
The Board of Education approved a two-year contract for Dr. Crouse at the June 26, 2014, Board of Education meeting. Dr. Crouse replaces Kimberly Pietsch Miller, who left to serve as the chief academic officer for the Dublin City School District near Columbus.
