Running for treats!
Posted Wednesday, November 4, 2015
It was a debut Trick Or Treat Extravaganza for the Loveland Intermediate School (LIS) Runner’s Club on Friday, Oct. 30. Parent volunteers handed out candy along the course and the student-athletes dressed up in costume for their run. But don’t let these students trick you… they run year round as part of the extra-curricular club that was established in 1998. Students gather regularly throughout the year to do between a 2.3 to 3.1 mile course. Roughly 120 students signed up for the fall candy run!
Many thanks to Steve Federman, Kelley Coldiron, Todd Lighthall, John Ernst, and John Waple for helping organize the club that prepares many of the students to run cross country at the middle school and beyond!
