An LES original production

The upcoming Spring Arts Night will feature original music composed by Loveland Elementary School (LES) students. The theme of this year’s concert is “An Adventure in Composition.” Each composition was written entirely by students.
“One of the main goals of LES music is to encourage the right side of our students' brains to get a work out,” explained Michele Henn, LES music teacher. “This composition project has challenged kids to think outside of the box and create! The result has been an eye-opening experience for me; I have learned how much I would have been limiting my students' creative potential had I instructed them in a more traditional manner."
The LES Spring Arts Celebration runs two nights, Monday, March 11, and Tuesday, March 12. The concerts begin at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Following each concert is an art show in the cafeteria. LES Art Teacher Sandi Mestancik will showcase student artwork that has been completed throughout the year.
