True super power

Loveland Primary School (LPS) students had a treat the week of February 25 as teachers turned super hero to promote Right to Read Week. The theme this year: Reading gives you super powers! As part of the reading celebration, students put coins in collection tubs of the teachers and staff members they would like to see dressed up. LPS Principal Kevin Fancher didn’t disappoint.
“I did dress up,” said Fancher. “It was a fun experience for both me and the students. In truth, reading does empower our young people, and we want them to be excited by it – take advantage of it – and continue what they learn here at home.”
In addition to the costume celebration, LPS held a book fair.
