Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC) students were amazed and amused to receive an unexpected send-off for the winter break by a very special guest - the conductor from "The Polar Express!" Mr. Peter Roehm, the father of an LECC first grader (and frequent classroom volunteer helper), played up his role as if he were leading a train to the North Pole itself. Not only did he decorate Mrs. Schmidt's classroom to match the "Polar Express" theme, but as the conductor he also hole-punched their tickets and added to the sense of wonder in that class. But the farewell for all of our students on this day was a fun surprise they won't soon forget thanks to his tremendous contribution to this special day. All aboard for more fun learning and good friends in 2013!
