Loveland High School and Loveland Elementary School Receive Five-Star Recognition

Loveland City School District is proud to announce that Loveland High School and Loveland Elementary School have both been awarded the “Overall 5-Star Building Award” by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

“We are fortunate to have amazing staff and outstanding families supporting our students in Loveland. This recognition of academic excellence is a testament to our wonderful community and the strong partnerships that make great things happen inside and outside of the classroom,” Loveland City School District Superintendent Mike Broadwater said.

The “Overall 5-Star Building Award” is based on data in the 2024-25 Ohio School Report Card. All Ohio public schools are evaluated in six component areas, including Achievement, Progress, Gap Closing, Graduation, Early Literacy, and the newest category, College, Career, Workforce, and Military Readiness. Buildings earn the Overall 5 Star recognition if they score high enough in the component areas that impact their building.

“Loveland earned four and a half stars overall on the Ohio School Report Card, placing us in the top 10% of all Ohio public school districts. Having Loveland Elementary School and Loveland High School recognized as “5-Star” buildings shows that we are working hard to make sure every child is successful. Congratulations to two great leaders - Loveland Elementary School Principal Jen Forren and Loveland High School Principal Dave Spencer!” Loveland City School District Superintendent Mike Broadwater said.
