The Loveland City School District has earned the Ohio Auditor of State “Award with Distinction” for its financial audits. The Auditor’s Office presents the Auditor of State Award with Distinction to local governments and school districts that have a clean audit report.  Less than 4% of Ohio public school districts earn this award annually.

“Our Treasurer, John Espy, and his entire department deserve credit for their hard work in keeping our district’s commitment to the community that we will be fiscally responsible,” Board President Jonathan Eilert said. 

The Auditor of State Award with Distinction requires that a government entity file its audit on time, that it contain no findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, or significant deficiencies. Additionally, it must contain no:

• Ethics referrals
• Questioned costs less than the threshold per the Uniform Guidance
• Lack of timely report submission
• Bank reconciliation issues
• Failure to obtain a timely Single Audit in accordance with Uniform Guidance
• Findings for recovery of less than $500
• Public meetings or public records issues
