A great Loveland tradition continues in December - “Grandparents and Great Influences!” Students across the district will spend time with grandparents and other great influences in their lives. “Grandparents and Great Influences” is an opportunity for families to celebrate the extended circle of people who build into their children, as we open our doors to build community. 

“Over the last few years, it has been amazing to see our students and families celebrate grandparents and other great influences in their lives. We’ve had grandparents travel from several states away to take part, and everyone from coaches to older siblings recognized as ‘great influences.’ This has become a really special event,” Superintendent Mike Broadwater said. 

This initiative was launched in 2023 to celebrate grandparents and all the other great influences in the lives of Loveland students. Each year, we have welcomed over 3,000 people during Grandparents and Great Influences events across the district. 

Look for communication from your child’s building about specific dates and times for the celebrations in each school.
