Vision

  • According to the Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities (2014), “visual impairment” including blindness means an impairment in vision that, even with correction, adversely affects a child’s educational performance. If a student attending Loveland has a documented visual impairment, they will be referred for a Functional Vision Evaluation and/or Observation by the Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Once the observation/evaluation has been completed, the team can come together to determine whether VI services are recommended.
