Loveland Primary School…showing care, respect, and responsibility
This year at Loveland Primary School the staff and students have committed to the three core principles of showing care, showing respect and showing responsibility. Using the Positive Behavior Support approach, our staff has worked with the students to re-define the ways we all will act in school and work with one another based upon these core principles. By using "Tiger Tickets," as well as positive comments and other recognition, we strive to catch each other showing these positive qualities in our daily interactions. Students are using their tickets to earn rewards such as giving Mr. Fancher a high-five, choosing a small prize from the class treasure box, or the very popular "Pledge Pass," which allows students to join Mr. Savage in saying the Pledge of Allegiance on the morning announcements.
In addition to our focus on Positive Behavior Supports, we are pleased with the work that has been done at LPS regarding the district's I C.A.R.E. (I Create A Respectful Environment) anti-bullying program. In combination with our monthly focus on a different character quality, we strive to make Loveland Primary a welcoming, friendly place for our students, staff and parents to work and visit. Having these programs in place as part of our daily lives at school gives us a great foundation from which to work to help students solve problems for themselves, between one another, or with the help of adults. Of course, all of this is being done so that Loveland Primary School can provide a learning environment and learning opportunities that will help all students to flourish and learn.
