Loveland
Intermediate School has approximately
700 fifth and sixth graders and is
connected to the middle school, allowing
for an easy transition to the next
grade level. The building philosophy
is for all students to be successful
at the highest level within a flexible
learning environment. Student achievement
is the primary concern, and students
are offered many curricular and extra-curricular
opportunities including: band, strings
and choir, student council, runner’s
club, and ecology
club. Character education is also
an important component of our curriculum
and includes activities focused on
monthly character qualities such
as
honor, truthfulness, generosity, and
forgiveness. The district also has
Edline,
a web-based application that allows
parents to view student grades and
assignments as well as class-specific
web pages with assignment descriptions.

There are 14 fifth grade and 14 sixth
grade teachers. Specialists on staff
include two art teachers,
