The Loveland City School District congratulates District Nurse Judy Leamy for being honored as a 2018 Celebrate Excellence educator Friday, May 11. Sponsored by the Hamilton County Educational Service Center (ESC), the annual Celebrate Excellence Breakfast is a prestigious event honoring educators of excellence for their dedication to their profession.
“At the Loveland City School District, Judy Leamy’s official title is district nurse, but that title only offers a limited view of the responsibilities this 22-year veteran of the Tiger Family has taken on to support students and their families in one of our core district goals - Tiger Care,” said Loveland Superintendent Dr. Amy Crouse. “Difference-maker, servant-leader, student-staff-and family-cheerleader – Judy Leamy doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk to work as an advocate for all members of the Tiger Family.”
Leamy works as a volunteer leader for Loveland’s NEST program
, serves on the Executive Committee of Loveland Educates Against Alcohol & Drugs (LEADD), helps manage the My Voice, My Choice district-wide campaign, chairs the District Safety Committee, and she promotes physical and emotional wellbeing to the entire Tiger Staff through the district’s Wellness Committee.
“Mrs. Leamy’s impact is far reaching both inside and outside of our district,” said Crouse. “We are honored to work with Judy Leamy; she makes each person in this district a better Tiger by example.”
