Earth Day at LHS
Earth Day at LHSThe Loveland Sustainability Council invites the Tiger Family to an Earth Day Event 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the Loveland High School (LHS) auditorium for popcorn, pizza and a presentation of the award-winning movie The Clean Bin Project. In addition to viewing the movie, local businesses will feature their sustainable practices in a Sustainability Expo, and participants will enjoy games, giveaways, food, and there will be a collection for Goodwill textile donations. Participants will also be challenged to pledge to “do one more thing today for a better tomorrow” as a way to promote practical measures for a more sustainable future.

The newly formed Loveland Sustainability Council consists of local businesses, Loveland’s Farmers’ Market, churches, governmental entities, LHS administrators, teachers, and students with a shared vision to encourage recycling, reduce waste, and promote sustainability for the future of Loveland. The Loveland Sustainability Council’s mission is to identify recycling obstacles and create solutions that increase sustainability options for schools, residents and businesses in the Loveland area.

The event is free of charge and open to the public. For further information, please contact lovelandsustainabilitycouncil@gmail.com.
