Marching to a ‘Superior’ beat
The Loveland City School District congratulates the Loveland High School (LHS) Marching Band for earning the highest rating that can be achieved at the Ohio Music Educators Association (OMEA) competition Sunday, Nov. 9. In the Class AA performance student musicians earned a First Division Superior Rating at the University of Dayton Arena.
“The band’s success is due to the hours of practice by the students, the direction of Mr. Miller and his marching band staff, and the volunteers who worked to help them at their performances,” said Loveland Superintendent Chad Hilliker. “We congratulate our students, their families and their teachers on this outstanding accomplishment; we could not be prouder.”
This is the LHS Marching Band’s first Superior Rating since 2005.
