Sunday, Sept. 28, is our fourth annual Harvest Celebration.
Granny’s Harvest Celebration – A Free, old fashion, family event where children actually get to harvest from the gardens.
Granny's Harvest Celebration is a free, old-fashion family fun event; there are simple games for kids; no fees or prizes, just fun! Do you have a kid who’s always asking, “How does that work?” Stop by the Take-Apart-Table where kids learn how things are made by taking them apart. Don’t miss Glue Fest, a Granny original. Back by popular demand, this “recycled” favorite lets little artists make masterpieces from anything that can be glued on or glued onto.
Pick a free bouquet of flowers from our extensive gardens, walk the nature trail, walk the garden paths, sit in the perennial gardens and enjoy the Loveland String Quartet that will be performing there. There is also free food, courtesy of the VegHead and Take Home Tano’s. Hey kids - don't forget to see Granny for your free baby pumpkin. This is a memory maker kind of event with lots of photo opts so don't forget your camera.
New this year, you and your children can share the experience of harvesting and tasting fresh vegetables from the gardens while “Harvesting to Feed the Hungry”. Let the kids taste a baby green bean and yellow or “black” cherry tomato right off the vine; they have been grown organically and washed by Mother Nature. Sign up to harvest with Granny or one of our Garden Educators: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084ba5ab28a20-grannys4
