Hear us ROAR
Loveland High School (LHS) is pleased to announce its student-produced newspaper The Roar has received International Second Place from Quill & Scroll Honorary Society for High School Journalists. In addition to the International award, The Roar also received an “exceptional” rating for editorial writing.
“We congratulate this outstanding journalistic staff,” said LHS Principal Chris Kloesz. “For both the students who produce the The Roar and Rhonda Overbeeke, their journalism teacher, this is public recognition that they can successfully compete in an international arena; we are extremely proud.”
"I am so very proud of how hard these young people work to put out a quality newspaper each month,” said Rhonda Overbeeke, LHS journalism teacher.
Overbeeke noted that 2014 LHS graduates Ricky Mulvey and Kayla Herrmann served as the editors for the award-winning newspaper.
