LHS stages mock car crash with important message
The Loveland organization of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) will stage a mock car crash around 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Loveland High School (LHS). The car crash will depict six students involved in an accident the night of prom, and will include a rescue attempt by emergency responders. The response teams include Loveland Police Department, Loveland Fire Department and Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home. Sora's Towing is providing the vehicles. The staged accident scene is to send a strong message about the dangers of drinking and driving; it is set to happen two days prior to the LHS prom.
