Loveland Robotics advances to Super-Regionals
Loveland High School (LHS) salutes the Loveland Robotics Nuts and Bolts Team 5040, as the student-innovators prepare to compete at Super-Regionals in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, March 30 – April 1 for a chance to compete at the World Championship. In the program’s six-year history, this is the first group to advance to the Super-Regionals. The students qualified after the First Tech Challenge Ohio State Championship at iSpace on February 11.

"Team 5040, in qualifying for the Super Regional Tournament, is our first team ever to advance to this stage,” said LHS Teacher and Robotics Sponsor Phil Marchal. “It has been a special year for them and really neat to see their hard work and dedication result in success. The students are very excited and eager to compete in the Super Regional."

Additionally LHS Teacher Phil Marchal was honored with the First Robotics Compass Award, which recognizes an adult coach or mentor who has provided outstanding guidance and support for a team throughout the year, and demonstrates to the team what it means to be a gracious professional. Student team-members nominated Marchal by producing a video about the impact he has had on their lives.
