Loveland LOVES the arts
From the Loveland Early Childhood Center teachers who work with our youngest Tigers to turn crayons and markers into tools for creative learning, to our Loveland High School teachers who help fully develop the artistic talents of our older Tigers through creative writing, robotics, painting, sculpting, photography, film and graphic design, the use of art – in all of its forms – to enrich the educational experience is robust at all levels of the Loveland City School District. Our educators understand that participation in arts inspires students’ creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills – all central to our mission of Preparing Students for Tomorrow, Today. It’s such an integral part of our academic culture just last year Loveland High School began to celebrate the first-annual Fine Arts Signing Day – to honor our students who commit to advancing their studies of the arts beyond high school.
This November – as we celebrate student art performances in many of our buildings – we invite you to enjoy a special series on our district website as we explore #TigerGrowth in our arts programs at the elementary, intermediate/middle and high school levels. Throughout the month of November you will find stories posted that highlight the art opportunities taking place at each of the buildings. Hopefully, you can take some time to mark your calendar to attend one of the upcoming shows and see for yourself what happens when student ability, teacher instruction and creativity collide! And, we have a special invitation for our members of the Tiger Family who are at least 62-years young – free admission for all district-sponsored events. It’s called the Tiger Gold Card, and if you qualify you can get yours for free admittance into district-sponsored concerts, plays and athletic events! Contact the receptionist at the Board of Education to find out details.
I want you to see for yourself what makes our Loveland Show Choirs nationally known, our plays Cappies-nominated, our student films award-winning and our musical performances first in class. We are so proud of our student-artists, and we know you will be too – and, as always, thank you for supporting our district!
Dedicated to the future of our students,
