We LOVE our Loveland Teachers!
You’ve heard us say it before, and you’ll hear us say it again: Our teachers ROCK! The week of May 2-6 administrators, staff, students, parents and volunteers showed their appreciation for our teachers in big ways across the district during the annual Teacher Appreciation Week.
“As a parent I truly appreciate the teachers who work with my children each day,” said Loveland Superintendent Chad Hilliker. “The time and patience it takes to do what is best for students is no easy task, but it is very rewarding. I would like to extend my appreciation to our teachers for their dedication to our children!”
Across the district, gifts were presented and messages of thanks delivered – often with a theme. Loveland Primary School (LPS) followed the children’s book series by Laura Nomeroff (author of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie) and used a different book each day to say thank you.
“We ended the festivities Friday with our Annual PTA Staff Appreciation Luncheon and delivered individual, handwritten thank you cards to the staff,” said LPS Principal Kevin Fancher.
At Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC), the teachers discovered treats each day in the staff work room, and enjoyed their PTA Luncheon Thursday, May 12.
“This is such a tremendous way to show appreciation for what our teachers do,” said LECC Principal Kyle Bush. “Parents donate gift cards so that each staff member gets some sort of ‘prize’ to take home, in addition to the very nice lunch. We really appreciate the show of support for our teachers; it is very much deserved.”
