Greetings future LHS students!
They call Loveland Middle School (LMS) home right now, but in a few short weeks they will officially be Loveland High School (LHS) freshmen! Monday, May 12, the entire eighth grade class was given a tour of their future school. LHS formed a special group of students called the Link Crew to connect with the LMS students.
"At LHS, it is important to us that the current eighth graders and their families feel welcome as they transition to the high school,” said Molly Connaughton, LHS assistant principal. “Events such as the tour embody this. In collaboration with the middle school teachers and administration, and in utilizing a great group of high school leaders in our Link Crew, we are delighted to help our LMS students transition into their next phase of Tiger development."
LMS students had time to learn about sports, clubs and groups they could join at an activity fair, before joining together as one large group for a special presentation in the LHS Auditorium. The students ended the visit with Q&A sessions with Link Crew leaders in small group settings.
