‘Chats with Chad’
‘Chats with Chad’Loveland City School District Superintendent Chad Hilliker has planned a number of “Chats with Chad” to ensure the Loveland community understands the importance of the upcoming May 6 levy.

“I understand people are busy; with that in mind, I wanted to make sure I am as accessible as possible to explain the nature of the upcoming levy and respond to any questions,” said Hilliker. “This levy is critical to our district moving forward, and I will do what is necessary to engage the community on their time and turf to explain just that.”

Hilliker has scheduled six community “Chats with Chad” as well as an open door chat 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at his Board of Education Office. In addition, Hilliker is available for individual or group meetings by appointment.

Levy Basics
This is a 5.6 mill levy that will be placed before the voters on Tuesday, May 6. The levy is expected to last for a minimum four years (previous levies have been three years) which provides a direction for the district and residents. The 5.6 mill levy will cost property owners $196 per $100,000 of appraised real estate value. Collection would begin in January 2015. Additionally, per the County Auditor, beginning in 2016, taxpayers will see a reduction of approximately $48 per $100,000 of appraised real estate value due to the retirement of district bonds.
