Connor Thomas was a Loveland Tiger grades kindergarten through eighth – now the current National ROTC and Citadel Scholarship student is using a nonprofit organization he founded, The My GI Foundation, to give back to the district where he once attended. Thomas donated signs that reserve parking for Purple Heart veterans.
"Both my grandfathers are retired military and I have a tremendous amount of respect for all who have served and those who defend our nation every day,” said Thomas. “I have many ways to serve my veterans as the CEO of The My GI Foundation, and I believe these signs serve as a constant reminder to our country to respect our military and our freedom."
You will see the new reserved parking spaces at buildings throughout the district, and they are even making their way into the larger Loveland community at businesses like Aquarian Pools.
