LES loves art – family style!
It was the first, but it certainly won’t be the last!
Wednesday evening, March 15, Loveland Elementary School (LES) was full of Tiger family members who came out to enjoy the first annual LES Family Art Night. Teachers set up art making activities for the whole family, and art projects ranged from weaving and bookmaking, to painting and origami.
“I decided to put on the art making night, because I wanted the opportunity for students and their families to have a chance to come to LES and simply make art,” said Jeff Flaig, LES art teacher. “It was a fun experience and there was a great turnout of students, siblings and parents.”
“Who doesn’t want fun, creative time with their kiddos?” said LES Principal Jennifer Forren. “This was a wonderful opportunity for LES to be a resource for creative learning for the entire family and experience some authentic interaction with our staff members. It was a complete success!”
“Many parents and students gave great feedback from the night and the plans are to have it bigger and better for next year!” said Flaig.
